Project Experience

Florida Light and Power (FPL) and Miami Dade Clean Water Recovery Center

Florida Power and Light (FPL) and Miami Dade County project to reuse up to 15 million gallons a day of water from treated sewerage. This will also allow the elimination of a 15 million gallons per day extraction from the Florida Aquifer. The project consists of the FPL Miami Dade Clean Water Recovery Center (CWRC) and an approximately 8-mile long 42-inch diameter water line connecting to the South District Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Baytown chemical expansion project

Location: Baytown, Texas
The expansion, expected to start up in 2022, includes a new Vistamaxx™ performance polymer unit, which produces products that offer higher levels of elasticity, softness and flexibility, attributes that contribute to a reduction in materials used and increased performance in everyday products. The new unit will produce about 400,000 tons of Vistamaxx™ polymers a year.

JBER Runway Expansion Project

Location: Alaska
The runway extension project at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson is one of the largest in the history of the Alaska District. It will exponentially increase JBER's capability as a force projection platform and further advance the national defense strategy while providing continued support to U.S. military members serving in the Last Frontier. The scheduled completion date for this project is September 2025.

Advanced Clean Energy Storage

The Advanced Clean Energy Storage site will support the Intermountain Power Agency’s (IPA) IPP Renewed Project—an 840 MW hydrogen-capable gas turbine combined cycle power plant that will initially run on a blend of green hydrogen and natural gas starting in 2025 and incrementally expanding to 100% green hydrogen by 2045. From this initial project, ACES Delta will support the clean energy transition.

Samsung Chip Plant BlueSky

Industrial water supply and water reclamation services for one of the largest foreign economic development projects in American history: Samsung’s $17 billion advanced semiconductor fabrication facility under construction in Taylor in Williamson County, Texas.

LINCOLN COUNTY CT EXPANSION

LOCATION: NORTH CAROLINA
Lincoln County CT expansion upgraded the existing facility for a 400-megawatt Simple-Cycle Unit. Project support and electrical design included the Administration, Control and Warehouse Pre-engineered Metal Building.

FREEPORT LNG

LOCATION: TEXAS
Freeport LNG export terminal is a 20 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) natural gas liquefaction and export facility developed on the Quintana Island near Freeport, Texas. Project scope included electrical design and support for twelve (12) non-process pre-engineered metal buildings for both the Pre-Treatment and Liquifaction sites.

COVE POINT LNG

LOCATION: MARYLAND
Cove Point LNG Export Project, involved construction of liquefaction facilities for exporting LNG at the existing Cove Point LNG Terminal on the Chesapeake Bay in Lusby, MD. Project scope included electrical design, controls and support for ten (10) process pre-engineered metal buildings. BSC continues to provide resources for support of facility operations.

SEWAREN UNIT 7

LOCATION: NEW JERSEY
Sewaren Unit 7, was the construction of a 540-MW combined-cycle natural gas plant in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Project scope included electrical design and project support for nine (9) process and non-process pre-engineered metal buildings.

MUNICIPAL LIGHT & POWER

LOCATION: ALASKA
Expansion of the 1970’s-vintage George M. Sullivan Plant 2 in east Anchorage used GE LM6000 combustion turbine technology. The new plant produces 120 megawatts in a 2×1 combined-cycle configuration. Project scope included electrical design and project support for administration, control and turbine structure.
